New school year, new PDE guidance! Check out this update and more from the September Announcements ➡️
When a student has not met their required behavioral goal(s) related to the reason for placement, follow the steps below to maintain the referral In Placement for another 45 days after uploading the Formal Periodic Review document(s).
The language shown will change based on whether the referral is recorded as the result of an expulsion or not - both options are included on this page.
(Step 1) Select the "Remain in Placement" button below the FPR upload (letter C in the image below).
(Step 2) Use the new textbox to provide the brief overview of the review, then select the green "Remain in Placement" button to finalize the next Presumptive Exit Date.
This will change the number of the presumptive exit date (e.g. 2nd, 3rd, etc.) and mark that the meeting has occurred. The PED will be advanced 45 school days according to the program calendar.
(Step 1) Select the "Determine Next 45 Day Review Due Date" button below the FPR upload.
(Step 2) Use the textbox to provide the brief overview of the review, then click the green "Set Next 45 Day Review Due Date" button.
This will change the number of the 45 day review date (e.g. 2nd, 3rd, etc.) and mark that the meeting has occurred. The 45 day review date will be advanced 45 school days according to the program calendar.
The same steps to Record 45-day Review Data will need to be taken every 45 school days the student is in placement, aligning with the PEDs.
The Next button below will take you to the instructions for when the student has met their required behavioral goals and will transition/exit the program.
