Q: When should a student be marked as "Under Eval"?
A: When completing the original student referral, LEAs are required to select Yes or No to the Under Eval question. If the student is currently Under Evaluation for Special Education Services *at any time during the AEDY process,* the response should be selected as or changed to "Yes."
Q: Who can mark a student as Under Eval or not?
A: Only the Sending LEA can change the student's Under Eval status. The status can be adjusted at any time, including when the student is In Placement, and should be kept up-to-date.
Follow the steps below to mark a student as currently Under Evaluation:
(Step 1) Navigate to the student referral's Demographics page. This can be for a student In Progress or In Placement.
(Step 2) Select the "Yes" button next to the text "Under Eval." The button will turn green to show the status has been saved.
