The Program Sites page (shown in step 3, below) notes the program site application fee which is due to PDE. The fee for private provider programs is $400 per application cycle. The application cannot be approved until the check has been received by PDE. Questions about the application fee can be directed to the PDE by emailing RA-EDAEDY@pa.gov

(Step 3) From this page, you can edit the information for your in-house program and also add additional AEDY programs to which you may refer students. Use the steps in each section below to complete your application.

Adding Additional AEDY Sites

Follow these steps if you would like to send students to AEDY programs (e.g. a private provider site) other than your in-house program. If you will only refer students to your in-house program, skip this section and scroll down to "Edit your In-House Application Program and Site Details."

(Step 1) Click the here button (part of the phrase "Click here to select a program site") to view the list of all AEDY providers.

Q: What if our AEDY Program Provider or In-House program is not on the list?

A: The list of programs includes all programs which have applied to operate as AEDY. If there is a program not currently on the list to which you would like to refer students for disciplinary reasons, please refer the program to the AEDY team ASAP so we can support their application process. (See contact information on FAQ page).

Q: We added a new program site and now we are not able to submit the application. What steps do we need to take?

A: In order to submit the application, all AEDY programs must "grant access" to the sending LEA. Get in contact with the AEDY program in question to discuss this step of the process. More information on how to complete this step for AEDY programs is available on this page.

(Step 2) Select a provider from the list, then click the "Select this" button on their row on the right-hand side. If you would like to send to more than one provider, repeat this process as many times as needed.

(Step 3) See general information about the program by clicking the "View Program" button in the Action column on the right (letter A in the picture below). This will show information including the grade levels accepted, program capacity, and program contact information. You should always get in touch with the provider before sending students to their program.

(Step 4) Review the provider's application by clicking "View Application Details" in the Action column (letter B in the image above). View any part of the application by clicking "Select" in the Action column of that row. Consider reviewing Program Design, Program Academics, Teacher information (especially English Learner Teacher), and Positive Behavioral Supports before deciding to send students to a placement with the program.

(Step 2) Complete the fields to provide information about the program site.

List the street address for the program site (letter A in the image below). This is the physical address of the building where students are seated each day. The address provided will be used for monitoring and also to accurately display your program site on the Approved Applications map.

Check the boxes for the grade levels this program site accepts (letter B in the image below). Please note that AEDY programs can only serve grades 6-12.

Provide the AEDY program capacity based on the total number of students the program can serve (letter C in the image above). If your program contracts a specific number of slots to LEAs, provide the number in the text box. If not, check the NA box.

Complete the program main contact information (letter D in the image above), including name, title, phone, fax, email, and website. This is the information an LEA viewing the application will see first. Programs with multiple sites should list the site-specific point of contact here.

(Step 5) Save this information by clicking the "Save Site Information" button at the bottom of the page. Remember to repeat this process for each site your program operates.

(Step 6) Access the bulk of application details by clicking "Edit Application Details" in the Action column on the program site's row (letter B in the image below).
