Administrative Interviews
The administrative interview takes place during the week of monitoring, usually on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and typically takes about one hour. During the interview, the Monitoring Chair will ask questions of the AEDY staff based on the need for further clarification or to highlight a promising practice within the program.

Assemble the appropriate AEDY staff team - program administration, special education teacher, ESL certified teacher, counselor, support staff, additional staff as appropriate

Q: Who attends the administrative interview?
A: Participants in the interview include, but are not limited to, AEDY Program administration, special education teacher, ESL certified teacher, counselor, support staff, representatives from all sending LEAs, the PaTTAN/PDE AEDY Team, and the BSE adviser.

A: The construct of this interview is based on the review of all the information previously discussed in this module. The chairperson drafts the interview based on the need for further clarification or to highlight a promising practice within the program. The outline is directly aligned with the sections of the FSA, including relevant pieces of feedback from the stakeholders interviewed.
Q: How long does the interview take?
A: The AEDY chair will block 1.5 hours to ensure adequate time to address all areas of compliance. If it is not possible for all staff to attend for the entire interview, be sure to notify the monitoring chair ahead of time so that the most qualified staff are present for each set of questions.
